  1. Zoot Suit Yokum" was a real cartoon character in a popular newspaper comic strip.
but if comparing with the book that we had just read then i think the cartoon one are better than the book alot. because the cartoon one is short , have immages, in english, funny, and easy to understand. which is good for all those lazy students

  4. There are two ways to protrail this scene. I think the cartoon is more interesting and more understandable than the book. I finally can find something fun about this topic.

  5. I seen the cartoon and felt like reading the cartoon is much easier to understand the meanings of the play. Since the cartoon has images which is not so confusing. The "Zoot Suit Yokum" is funny and explained well on acting on "The People's Lawyer". Overall, I like the cartoon better! ;)

  6. well...after reading the zoot suit book i think it wasn't that bad...the only thing that make it hard for me was understanding, because the author used a lots of Spanglish. Yet seeing this zoot suit cartoon, i think i found something more easier for me. Even cartoon is interesting and easy to understand but it doesn't has as much details as the book. However, either cartoon or book is still a good for everyone to read it.

  7. well as I read the book It was little bit confusing to me to undestand whose was The "Zoot Suit Yokum". I think this article is more easier to undestand it. The book doesn't has images in it, this article does it, which is what is making it easier to undestand.

  8. This was the scene that was assigned to my group and I think is different from the book scene because the cartoons only talk in English not as in the book that the characters use Spanglish that is the original version. Although the cartoon article was not the same as the book, I had fun reading the article with most of the cartoon characters using the Pachuco style.

  9. Our group had this scene. I was not sure what it meant so I just read through the line without understanding it. Now I know it is actually a cartoon character. The line makes more sense now.

  12. This comic strip was something else. It was very interesting a little wierd but made a lot of sense. WHat really cuaght my eye was the fact that just becuase he wore a zoot suit and was a hero evryone else wanted wear one like if they would become a hero or be liked more. It really shows how us people are followers and not leaders. Just becuase Zoot Suit Yokum wore a zoot suit and was loved by many doesn't mean that if everone else wears it they'll be loved. Back to the actual story though. It really did connect with the actual book how everyone looked up to Henry in the book and how everyone looked up yoYokum in the comicstrip. They were both hereos to their people.
